Running until 24th November, “You never see them like this” is an exhibition at Open Eye Gallery paying tribute to the work of Liverpool-born photojournalist Tim Hetherington (1970 – 2011). On April 20, 2011 while covering the conflict in Libya, Tim Hetherington and fellow photographer Chris Hondros were killed by Libyan forces in a mortar attack on the besieged city of Misrata.
We really enjoyed this piece on Living Edge about Fred Aldous in Manchester. They have been in the city since 1886 and when local retailers are facing some true tests to survive these days, it’s a great story and let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to work somewhere that you get asked “I’m making a 100ft monkey can you help?”.
